But this year, everything seems to be in overdrive with the release of Netflix's newest show - Tidying Up with Marie Kondo. Each episode, Marie Kondo, a tidying and organization expert, goes into a home and helps them de-clutter their lives and home. It's addicting, to say the least, to watch these extreme transformations. And you get the instant gratification of seeing someone else's whole house organized in about 30 minutes. This show, as well as Marie Kondo's best selling book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing, has influenced people across the world to organize, declutter, and tidy. We've jumped on board and have been stocking our own shelves with plenty of great organization products that will help you "spark joy" in your home!
According to Marie Kondo, the best way to tackle your tidying is in the following order: Clothes, Books, Papers, and then Komono (miscellaneous items). We've picked a few of our favorite Laura of Pembroke products for each of these!
Clothes
Marie Kondo has a very detailed method when it comes to folding clothes and clothes storage. Once you get the hang of it- it's pretty addicting and very visually pleasing to be able to SEE all of the clothes in your drawers rather than digging through dressers to find something.
