Marketing / Social Media Intern

Laura of Pembroke is hiring a marketing & social media intern position to start Fall 2021. This position is perfect for high school (junior or senior) or college aged students looking to gain marketing experience in a fast paced retail environment. Flexible scheduling based on school schedule. This is a part time, hourly paid position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage & post Instagram & Facebook stories
  • Email marketing
  • Website inventory management 
  • Event preparations / marketing
  • Some additional inventory responsibilities

 

Warehouse Help, Part-time

Laura of Pembroke is hiring additional help in our warehouse. This is a part time, hourly paid position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Unboxing, inspecting, and assembling furniture, lighting, and other merchandise
  • Moving new merchandise to the sales floor, removing sold merchandise from the sales floor
  • Trash and recycling upkeep

    First, I love your boutique and its my go to when I’m looking for something special or a treat for myself!

    I saw the job posting for a part time accountant and it perfectly fits my skill set. I have been working in accounting and tax preparation for ten years. Before that, I owned my own small business, a day spa, and handled my own accounting and payroll. Having owned a small business, I fully understand the team player concept and picking up whatever responsibilities need to be covered. In small business, it is the idea of working together as a team and picking up any slack for the betterment of the business.

    I was the bookkeeper for another local boutique for 6 years, so I understand the specific industry. Currently, I have my own small private clientele of businesses for bookkeeping, bank reconciliation and payroll services and work under another accountant for tax preparation services in the spring. One of my clients (who owned 3 businesses) just retired to Florida so I am looking for a part time position to compliment my current schedule. In the spirit of transparency, I have 2 school aged children, so I am hesitant to apply for a job right now due to potential quarantines and school closings. My initial questions would be how many hours per week this position requires, and, also, if any of the responsibilities, if necessary, could be performed remotely?
