How do you develop a relationship with a Personal Shopper, and why
would you want to?!
At Laura of Pembroke, a Personal Shopper is an experienced sales
associate with whom you develop a sales relationship. Someone who
gets to know you , your personal preferences, and body type. While
there is no obligation or pressure to purchase anything, a Personal
Shopper can:
- Encourage you to try different styles and colors, which are the
most flattering to you
- Tell you when new items arrive, and when merchandise goes
on sale
- Save you hours of browsing (crucial if you're shopping on a
deadline for a special event)
- Solves dressing problems ( What top goes with wide pants?
What colors clash? What do I take on my next trip? What
accessories go with this outfit?)
Expect your first visit with your Personal Shopper to be trial and
error. She'll probably spend some time talking to you, trying to get to
know your likes and dislikes. She will likely bring in a variety of
clothes into the dressing room for you to try. Most importantly, don't
become discouraged. Once your Personal Shopper gets acquainted
with your life, tastes, and body type, she can pare down your rack to
a few well-edited pieces. If for some reason you do not have a
"connection" with one Shopper, I would encourage you to try another
associate.
The Personal Shopper service is free of charge if you are working
with an associate while she is available to other customers. If you
would like an exclusive consultation, an hourly fee is required.
If a Personal Shopper sounds like something you would like to try,
please contact me at 330-477-4455, lauraofpembroke@yahoo.com,
or mention it to a sales associate the next time you are visiting the
store. We are here to make your shopping experience more
enjoyable.
