Now that warmer temperatures, blue skies, and sunshine are calling your name, it's time to go outside and decide how you want that space to look and feel. Beautifying your outdoor space can be fun and exciting, especially if you're planning to eat, entertain, or just chill outside.
By sticking to a palette that is monochromatic, you can give your space a fresh and renewed look. Too many patterns or colors may be overdoing it, but you can add color in your outdoor accessories to give it a more polished look. Stick to a color scheme that transitions from inside your home to outside.
To start, you will need some essential items to work around. If you plan on outdoor dining, make sure to choose a table and chairs that suits your needs. You can also add an umbrella if you don't have a covered area.
Now that you have your neutral palette, add some color in your pillows , rugs, or other accents for some flair and fun. If color is not your thing, stay monorchromatic but add texture and patterns like stripes, floral, or leopard prints. Show your personality in your outdoor space!
If you're able to create a more intimate space, you may want to create "walls" with a fireplace, bar area, or fire pit. You can also bring the inside outdoors. Bring out an upholstered chair for an evening or a cool table or ottoman. Obviously they can't stay outside because of the elements, but they can surely make a statement for one night.
